Eric Idle’s new lowbrow comedy about highbrow people. Eight actors perform a classic radio drama in this staged reading, featuring a once-in-a-lifetime all-star British cast :

Russell Brand in the lead role of Dick, an Oxford student pursuing philosophy and gynecology ; Eddie Izzard as the inventor of the vibrator; Jane Leeves and Sophie Winkleman as Dick’s cousins; Tracey Ullman as his alcoholic aunt; Tim Curry as a preacher; and Billy Connolly as a Scottish police inspector with music by Idle’s Spamalot partner John Du Prez. Du Prez will perform piano during the production and Idle will serve as narrator. It’s Merchant Irony! Four nights only, at the Orpheum Theater, LA, April 26th thru 29th.
